Richfield Springs is a nice small town, easy to get around, a nice by-the-lake restaurant within a mile or two; good diner just down the street from the motel. We were there to attend the Glimmerglass festival which was an easy 11 minute drive from Richfield Springs. Cooperstown is an easy drive south on Rt. 80 and is a lovely town but very busy in the summer months. We had a lovely outdoor, by Otsego lake, dinner at the beautiful Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown. A very scenic part of New York state.
Quirky and fun college town set in some of the most beautiful scenery in New York state. Ithaca is in the heart of the Finger Lakes region and there are gorges and waterfalls to be found around every bend in the road. Ithaca itself has some great small, locally-owned restaurants and shops, many centered around a traffic-free pedestrian mall. Lots to do for families as well as nature/adventure tourists.
Syracuse is home to the New York State Fair and Destiny USA. Apart from those places, it is a city in a bit of a transition at the moment. Safety is an issue currently, especially downtown later at night.
We enjoyed the fact that the New York State Fair was close to the hotel and easy to get to. There were plenty of places to go for dining, shopping and entertainment. Access to the turnpike was close and convenient.
Nice little classic small town in New York State. Nice selection of antique stores. Will go back but the main reason was family living there.
New York State museum was one of the best museums we've ever seen, and admission was donation only. Now to get rid of the depressing Empire State Plaza towering over you like giant tombstones! All in all a hip, urban experience without the traffic and noise of the bigger cities.
The town is a great place to spend a winter vacation. There's lots to do as well as the best skiing in New York State. There are many restaurants to chose from. We enjoyed the burgers at the Dancing Bear and the beautiful views and excellent menu at the Boathouse. The free bus service made getting to Freestyle World Cup ski events very easy.
Buffalo is a neat city. It's close to Canada and Niagara Falls. They get a lot of good shows and events at their venues. Food is pretty good especially if you are looking for wings! It is snowy and cold like the rest of New York State in the winter, but just know to pack for the weather. I wouldn't say you'd go there for the city itself, you would probably be in Buffalo for an event or if you were passing through on your way somewhere else.
Once a thriving manufacturing city Schenectady has been hollowed out by the loss of jobs and industry. Despite the struggles and remaining scars of this experience - this small city has a lot of history, great and diverse restaurants, the first historic district designated in New York State, a fantastic theater and Union College (a great small and historic college dating back to the 1700's). It's easy to miss a lot of this whizzing by on one of the interstates that entombs so much of the Capital District but it's worth a few days stay to experience some of the city's history and rejuvenation. Hard to know how the recently opened casino will change things - I have my doubts whether this was the best move - but even if you go just for the casino - take the time to visit downtown and help support the local businesses that keep the city alive.
The New York State museum was a great experience! It had great exhibits of New York history through the years and is fun for all ages.
The facility was fresh and clean, and had everything I needed. I chose it because of the location to the New York State Fairgrounds, which was perfect. It was also very close to everything in the area.
best hotel we stayed in over 6 days travelling around New York State and Massachusetts
Facilities clean and well kept. Staff were amazing - very helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Christian in the L’Onda lounge. Deserves employee of the month.
Friendly doorman- gave good instructions where to park. It was our first time to New York.
Size of room and comfort of bed
great staff and very comfortable. great service
This hotel in Montauk provided an exceptional experience with clear advantages starting from its staff and location. The property features clear signage and abundant trash bins, promoting cleanliness. It was delightful to see the grounds were impeccably maintained. For refreshment, there was convenient access to vending machines offering cold beverages. As for recreational activities, we immensely enjoyed playing tennis. The pool was another highlight - it was not only clean, but it also lacked any overpowering bleach smell or slippery surfaces, which often mar the swimming experience. Moreover, the water was pleasingly warm. The location of the hotel is another plus point, with various restaurants easily reachable on foot. The beach experience was enhanced with the availability of numerous chairs, and the friendly staff made sure everything was set up perfectly for us.
the place is beautiful. Amazing view and so peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Went to surf cast perfect spot on the beach in the village - priced right
The location is unbeatable and the reception staff absolutely lovely! We would go again for sure. Thank you. We also enjoyed the beach chairs provided.
Great room. Spacious deck with reclining deck chairs so that you can take a nap out there with the fresh air and sea breeze. Everything was in working order and exceptionally clean. Staff was well-trained, friendly, and accommodating.
The luxury Cleanliness The swimming pool Location Beatiful view where we can also watch the the firework
View from deck, beach access, comfortable room and great shower
My Room was at In Front of Lake, Plus it was a cute cabin with its own Balcony.
One of Montauk’s true historic gems. Rooms are rather spacious and have an abundance of layouts.
Great views. A lot of outdoor activities.
Modern hotel right at the outskirts of Soho with a very amicable staff although very busy all the time. The zone is rather quiet and safe with metro stations nearby. The room is somewhat small but confortable and clean. Didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so no comment about this.
This place is perfect for a vacation at Sag Harbor. The bar with the fireplace is so cozy and the atmosphere was welcoming. The bed was super comfortable, there was a coffee maker in the room, you get water for free and the bathrobe was perhaps the most cozy bathrobe I ever wore. I hope I come back there once. Plus: Sag Harbor is a wonderful village for a stay in The Hamptons.
We did not enjoy the breakfast. Everything tasted as if it was past the due date. We would not have breakfast there again.
