Quality accommodation in a quiet location. Good usability for car trips in the area. The equipment is purposeful and completely sufficient. For more comfortable seating while eating, an ordinary kitchen table would be more appropriate for older visitors.

It's a dead city that bored the hell out of me :) Thankfully, I was only there for business. The people are nice; the city is clean and efficient, as you would expect from Denmark. Perhaps more exploring would be good, and in the summer or spring, visiting beach areas may be more pleasant.

The shopping is excellent with plenty of choice.
The shopping is excellent with plenty of choice. There is a good selection of places to eat. All the Danish people we met were very helpful, friendly and polite - a credit to their nation.
Esbjerg is very well signposted for the walker and driver; we did not use public transport so am unable to comment on this.

Good place to base yourself if you want to visit Wadden Sea National Park or surrounds. Bird watching opportunities and interesting museum on the northern outskirts of town. Also a war grave ceremony from WW2 across the road from the Maritime museum (through the little forest), which includes allied and German graves, and sadly, graves of German refugees who fled to Denmark at the end of the war.

Nice harbour town with brisk west coast weather.
Nice harbour town with brisk west coast weather. Driving in the city was easy, and the town appears relatively clean and well maintained. Would have loved to linger longer and explore activities at the harbour.

A fantastic town for shopping, eating drinking and meeting people.
Really enjoyed the short break and to have eaten at two places suggested for evening meals, La Bamba’s Mexican restaurant and Det Arabiske Køkken. Both places are cosy, comfortable with friendly staff, serving veggie/vegan food and now come highly recommended by myself.
We had a spacious family room which was clean and comfortable.
We arrived before check-in, and we were able to utilise the luggage storage and have a wonder around the town.
The staff were helpful and gave clear directions to our room and luggage storage area.
The breakfast was delicious, and while we were there, it was being kept topped up.
As we had a larger lunch in the town at a nearby cafe, we were happy to use the Spar, which was located opposite the hotel for a light snack in the evening.
Very nice hotel just next to the sea. I stayed with my family in an apartment and we really liked it. There were 4 beds plus a pull out couch. The apartment is nicely furnished and it has all the necessary for a short stay. Nice little patio in front where to hang out and eat. Depending on the location of the apartment you can have a nice view of the sea.
Bonus points for a charger for electric cars in the parking lot.
The Scandic Olympic is a decent hotel in Esbjerg. It's no-frills but it's clean and good enough for your stay in Esbjerg, especially if you want to be close to the ferry for a trip to Fanø.
The ladies in the restaurant both breakfast and evening were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
It takes around ten minutes to walk to the centre of Esbjerg from the hotel.
Everything! Location, services, very clean, spacious. Had a small kitchen, also free laundry services and free coffee on the first floor. We totally recommend the place. It is near train station, 10 min walk. Near bus station, can walk anywhere, city center is right here. The staff is very friendly. We love it!
The breakfast is good, properly served and completed by the personnel (breakfast buffet type ) but it is not extraordinary. A decent one! The location, on the other hand, is very good, in the city center, a few hundred meters from the city's central square, where festivals, concerts, etc. take place.
Great location being so close to both Esbjerg & the airport and fantastic service. I required a bit more detail on the surrounding facilities and Ann was a great help. I asked for a late checkout and this was no problem at no extra charge. Can't fault the hotel and I'd definiately stay here again.
Unacceptable service
Landlord never answered the calls
Key box information provided to collect the key was incorrect and we couldn’t get in.
We had stay at the lobby of some other hotel over the night because all other hotels were fully booked
I will never recommend this apartment to anyone
We couldn’t stay in the house because the house was dirty .Nobody clean the house before we came. The smell inside was horrible. We spoken about that on the telephone with call centre and told them that we took some pictures and we will leave the house. We went to a hotel instead.
I kind of liked the view fr the room and the room in general. they also checked me upon early arrival, which is always a big plus. I had a dinner planned at their really good restaurant so obviously it was nice to stay at the hotel to be close to bed after dinner.
Fantastic breakfast. Also, they really need to advertise their gym amenities. Seriously one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever been to. Plus the fact that you can rent a bike for 24 hours to get around!
Loved the location of the hotel, despite the wild weather. Plenty fresh air on the seafront! The food was excellent on both nights we stayed, the seafood taster menu was all delicious, recommended.
Very friendly and helpful staff. It's the first time I've been back since the hotel was refurbished several years ago, and the chnages have improved the hotel.
