This is a lovely place to stay to visit Mont St Michel! The staff was so helpful when we arrived early. We got into our room early, and could start to the island. The room was clean and comfortable.

Probably the most comfortable bed I have experienced in France.. I find most beds to be too firm for me. The staff is amazing. The shower has ample room and the pressure was appreciated. The location, across from the shuttle was convenient, but we opted to walk to Mont-Saint-Michel. Very dog friendly as well!

Being able to spend the nite in Mont St Michel was a once in a lifetime experience...especially after the crowds left. Room had a fridge.

This hotel was the perfect stay for our group of three couples for one night. It was clean, comfortable, and close to the free shuttle and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and included eggs, hard to find in France.

Just a few steps from Mont Saint Michel Abbey and a 2-minute walk from Mont Saint-Michel, Chez Adèle features accommodations in Le Mont Saint Michel with water sports facilities.
This is an iconic location to visit. But like many tourist experiences, it is drifting a little into theme park territory. The abbey is many years past being used in a religious context (in part because it was converted into a prison by Napoleon after the revolution). So the cathedral has lost some of its soul. But the history is rich, and the location is amazing. The views are wonderful, and after the tourists have left for the day, the island is well worth exploring.

The Abbey tour itself was nice, but the mob we had to struggle thru to get there was a nightmare. And when we were done with the tour? Wall to Wall humanity. As if they dropped Euro Disney into the middle of the medieval walkways. We were here the first week of May, before the U.S. tourists even started arriving. I cannot imagine how awful this would have been with even more people. This is a magnificent place, well worth seeing ... FROM A DISTANCE. The walkways to the Mont were utterly jammed with people, and after a 40 minute wait the shuttles were stuffed like sardines. STAY AWAY! (Or maybe go in February or something). Take a photo from a distance and KEEP ON DRIVING.

The shuttles from the hotel complex are free and run every 10mns or so. It's also a lovely 2km walk from the hotel if you want to avoid the packed shuttle.
Don't bother spending a fortune on the hotels as they're all in the same place and are all about the same really.
The restaurant Le Pré Salé is the best and is a must if you're into good food. Book early though!
I recommend going in the evening to the mont st michel after 3pm when crowds start to leave. We went around 12pm and it was very busy despite it being a Monday mid season.
The self guided audio tour is great and well worth it.
And food is outrageously expensive in the Mont village and really not so good. Best bring a picnic and save your money for a nice restaurant in the evening.
All this said, a fabulous day out!

Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit.
Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit. The accommodation however was very poor and in an annex which was hard to find. The room was small and in very bad condition. Light switch hanging off the wall, tv and bedside lights did not work and space very limited. We had to persuade the restaurant staff that we had prepaid for dinner! Would certainly pick another hotel if we returned, which we won’t.

we knew there would be crowds - so we wanted to see it at night. arriving at 10:30pm, we found our room (finally) and took off to explore with a bottle of wine, a baguette, some cheese and dried meats - and had a glorious experience with not another soul about . . . wandered til 2:30 am and got spectacular photographs and had a wonderful time. got up at 8:30, had cafe & crepes, and left the isle at about 10:30 just as the masses began to arrive. trust me - do it like this . . .

Beautiful place to visit steeped in history but extremely crowded all day long. Only quiet and empty at night but everything is shut then very early and difficult to find a place to eat. The car park is extremely expensive and dreadfully overpriced. I paid €34 for overnight stay in a disabled Car park for which I had a blue Badge. Thought this was exorbitant and a terrible rip-off! However, there is no choice because shuttle bus is so far away from the Mount.

To enjoy Mount Saint Michelle without the crowds you need to stay on the island. There are not a ton of choices for hotels and from what I could see they were all very expensive. The room was small and dark with a very old carpet on the floor and the bathroom had an odd smell to it. If you go in the off season like we did in March the value of staying after hours seems to be reduced as it is not super crowded during the day. Also in the off season there are not many places to eat dinner (2 that we could find).
We felt very welcome at this hotel. Getting to the room was a journey in itself, not in terms of distance but the access along the ramparts offered extensive views of the bay and the amazing sunset. We had a triple room and it was one of the largest we had during our short 5 day stay in France. Water pressure was fantastic too! Do note the hotel's advice on luggage and parking information.
Right on the island of Mt Saint Michel…..one of the few hotels there. Accommodations were fine, small, but that was expected. Staff was great. Restaurant adequate. Breakfast excellent. It was expensive for one night, but that too was expected because of where we were. It was magical spending the night on Mt. Saint Michel!
The location was great. I used the hotel to store my luggage and park my car. I spent the night on the island and only took a backpack with essentials with me. hotel is located 100 yards or 90 meters from the trolley stop to get to the island. Restaurants are within the same distance. I would stay here on future trips.
Having visited Mont-St-Michel so many times I had always wanted to stay in a hotel in this 'restricted' area. I was not disappointed as the shuttle bus stopped very near to the hotel so we ate on the Mont in the evening and went back to the Abbey in the morning (book the English Speaking Guided Tour - it is brilliant)
It was within a walkable distance from mont saint Michel but you have to pay to enter the area where the hotel is , there is very little parking near the hotel, no elevator snd staff is not helpful at all , thank God we only booked for one night.
The location was fantastic and magical. We loved the view. Staying on the island is incredible. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The dining room staff was also very good. The staff for breakfast was not as helpful.
It was great to stay on the island and enjoy the quiet during the night. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and so helpful. Our room was in an outlying building and it was very quiet and very cool temperature.
The location is just perfect, shuttle bus is right outside the hotel. You can get the distant view of Le mont Saint Michel just in your room balcony. The hotel room is very spacious, breakfast is also good.
Awesome view! Large room, comfy bed, mini fridge, nice bathroom, lots of places to sit, big balcony (did I mention AMAZING view)!!! Closest hotel to the island (of the ones not ON the island)
Clean and functional hotel near to the stop of the navette which brings you in seven minutes to the Mont Saint-Michel. Parking directly at the hotel, good French breakfast with real espresso.
Nice and spacious family room, good breakfast for an extra fee, ample parking in front of the hotel, easy walk to Mont Saint Michel (or can take the shuttle bus near the hotel)
Staying on the island was great. The views from the room were very cool and it was so nice to be able to walk the quiet pathways of Mont Saint Michel at night.
