Scheveningen is a suburb of a large city and can be reached by tram. The beach area at the Kurhaus and pier is almost overcrowded with lots of fun sports such as a very high zip wire and Bunjeetower, Ferris wheel. The beach section at the spa house and pier is not recommended for tourists who are spoilt by the island and are looking for a peace and quiet journey.

We liked walking along the beach boardwalk, walking around town, and we did a few tram trips away such as den Hague and Leiden for the Naturalis centre. We walked along the pier and that was sort of interesting; we didn't ride the ferris wheel. Getting around town is easy walking or tram. We had one meal at an Indian restaurant that was not so good. Otherwise, we had groceries and ate in our room. I wouldn't suggest Oct. as it is not beach weather but for sure less tourists.

We loved every moment staying on The Pier.
We loved every moment staying on The Pier. The view was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable and we loved the special touches such as wine and chocolats wating for us every day, breakfast included and the staff were extremely helpful. The Boulevarde was long and exciting with lots of cafes and eateries. and the tram was available behind the Kurhaus and it was easy to travel to the Hague and back. We loved it and recommend that everyone should stay there at least once.

Scheveningen or Den Haag is a insider tip for people, who want to travel to the Netherlands. It is less crowded then Amsterdam, but just as interesting. The royal family of the Netherlands has their palace there, so you can feel some royal spirit in the city center. Also the National Parlarment, Europol and the International Court of Justice are located in Den Haag.

Gorgeous sunsets and you can walk for miles along the beach.
Gorgeous sunsets and you can walk for miles along the beach. The water was warm and there was plenty of room to find a quiet spot. All of the restaurants had delicious food and a wide variety of menu and seating options. The town is lovely and it is very easy to get around. Just a short tram ride to Den Haag which is a beautiful city in and of itself.

The town itself is busy but somewhat spread out.
The town itself is busy but somewhat spread out. There are three main areas - the new area where most of the hotels and restaurants are, the old area including the shopping street of Keizerstraat which is handy for almost everything, including a wide choice of restaurants, and the harbour. All three are linked to the city centre of Den Haag by three tram routes - 1 and 9 from the new area, 1 from Keizerstraat and 11 from the harbour area at the other end of Keizerstraat. Between Scheveningen and Den Haag lie the Scheveningse Bosjes, an attractive wooded area perfect for country strolls. Nearby attractions include the International Court of Justice (Vredespaleis) (there is an interesting visitor centre but to visit the Court itself you have to book well in advance) reachable by tram 1, and the model village of Madurodam reachable by tram 9.
everything very convenient, nice staff reacting flexible, 5 min walk from the sea.
it was the lowest price in Scheveningen. Taking the price into consideration the Hotel meets a high grade of comfort. a kettle in the room is super convenient for me and rare in my hotel expericence in Europe.
clean. wifi. hair dryer.
I didn't try breakfast since I don't eat in the morning. asian food is bookable from the room.
Nice big room, very good contact per email, speedy reply to all our queries.
Good location, only a few minutes from supermarket, bakkery, and the beach (Kurhaus). You can park for free, near Madurodam, about 20 minutes walking, or a few stops away with the tram.
We did not cook there, but you could, as there is a small fridge and a few plates.
A coffee machine is available, with coffee, and tea
The location is really great, its right on one of the main streets in Scheveningen, close to several coffee shops, and excellent bakery, and a great greek restaurant.
Reception was very friendly and helpful, they were excellent.
Room was nice, plenty of room for our family of 4 (kids 7 and 3). Nice large bed and tv, kitchenette with all the appropriate dishes, pots, knives etc.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice with a nice view (not the seaside) out over the back garden. Bathroom was nice with a bath. Room was nice and comfortable. Locattion is absolutely splendid, at the end of the famous Boulevard, 5 min walk to the Pier and the Kurhaus. Enormous choice of restaurants, shopping and interesting places (Sealife Aquarium etc).
The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and had all the facilities which we needed. There was on-site parking, and gaining entry was straightforward (unlike many apartments e have rented). The location is on a quiet road in a very nice residential area of Scheveningen but within easy reach of the beach. All in all a very enjoyable stay
The hotel is located right on the beach. Check in /check out was very easy. The staff was very friendly and professional. The interior of the hotel is one of the most amazing builds that I have ever seen and I been to places. Room was super clean and decent space. I highly recommend!
It's a big hotel located at the beachfront.
There's an indoor pool on the top floor, which saved us in the very bad weather we had, and an outdoor pool.
A nice gym room with lots of machines (in two repurposed bedrooms in fact, but they were nice).
Well located 2-star hotel, only a few steps away from the beach with all its attractions as well as public transportation. Supermarkets and restaurants are close by. The rooms look nice and the beds are comfortable. 24 hour reception with nice staff.
Super charming old hotel perfectly located with a view of the beach and the broadwalk. The hotel is family-run and the staff are friendly and willing to tell the story about the hotel that goes back about 100 years
A quiet hotel by the sea. The breakfast is served in a room overlooking the Scheveningen beach - a great start of a day. The rooms had all the necessary amenities. The staff were kind and friendly.
The rooms are dated but the location is good. There is easy access to the tram and the hotel helps you set up overnight street parking. Basic accommodations but good enough for an overnight stay.
What we liked the most about this hotel was the good attitude of the staff
Everything was clean and we had a kitchen that helped us cook our own food
Room was cozy , warm and beautiful
The room was clean. The staff was nice. The hotel has its parking. The biggest impression I've got from their restaurant: it has a beautiful interior and a view of the beach.
