The location was quiet, away from the busy tourist precinct. It was a comfortable bed and the kitchenette met our needs.
Featuring a beautiful garden setting, the Settlers Cottage Motel is a 5-minute walk from the historic town centre of Arrowtown and a 20-minute drive from Queenstown.

The cottage was perfect and had everything we needed and so close to everything. We had a great stay and Jayne and Carl could not have been more helpful. We hired their E-bikes for half a day and it was fantastic and so lovely to come back at the end of the day when it was cold and Carl had put the heaters on in our cottage for us - lovely touch!

Excellent location with spectacular mountain views. Spacious and very comfortable accommodation in an imposing, unique building. Friendly staff, unpretentious and always happy to help. Food of a high standard, especially the lunch after my daughter’s wedding.

Darling historic town in a stunning location and beautiful in autumn. Brilliant bike paths and walking trails of all grades. We did the Bush creek trail this time which is really beautiful and not difficult but is shared with mountain bike riders. Great outdoor adventures nearby. Close to fabulous hikes near Queenstown and beyond. Good pubs and restaurants. Got to love the Provisions cafe and yummy food. Check out the new Ayrburn resort. Beautiful gardens, great coffee and food if weirdly not unlike the Truman show! Expensive area though.

Arrowtown is a nice to walk around, and good for photography. I came for the fall foliage and it was better than expected. The trees have different shades of color at different times of the day. If you a photographer, this is a heaven. Take the offbeat track away from the Main Street and other tourists, walk down the creek and you will be delighted at what you see.
I tried 2 restaurants - Milhouse and Mosa. Milhouse is strongly recommended for its food and service. The atmosphere is great. Wine list is good too. I will not recommend Mosa regardless the reviews on Google. The place is a bit pricy and service is a little rude.

Arrowtown is an amazing historic town.
Arrowtown is an amazing historic town. The trees were turning gold autumn colours & looking fantastic! The museum right in town is a must see - so much history & exhibits extremely well put together. A walk along the river & also a visit to the old Chinese village nearby is very interesting.
The new Ayrburn area of restaurants & bars only 5 mins out of town is so beautifully landscaped & the buildings have great character. We only had coffee there but I highly recommend having lunch or dinner there. It is an outstanding development & will only get better as they add more.
You cannot miss visiting Arrowtown!

Arrowtown is so much quieter than Queenstown and has a charm of its own. You can however catch a bus over to Queenstown for the day for a small fare. Great central place to stay if you wish to explore the region i.e. vineyards, golf courses, walks along the river and historical sites to explore.

The house was spacious., very comfortable, and well appointed. It had a washer and dryer. There's also a garage and a nice driveway to park in. It was located in a quiet area.
The house was just a few minutes drive to Arrowtown where there were plenty of restaurants, shopping, and historical sites.
We have no complaints. Everything was good! It was a nice place to stay!

An interesting town with a great museum and lots of information about the goldrush. We only stayed for one night. Good selection of pubs and restaurants in the town. A big public car park with free parking for 24 hours. Nice river walk.
Shades of Arrowtown was a lovely motel/cottage that had everything you needed. We were in a 2 bedroom unit that had ample room and suited a family with a couple of kids.
The rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable.
One of the main things is that it is only one block from the main strip of shops, restaurants and cafes in Arrowtown so it was a really pleasant and easy walk to everything you needed.
Arrowtown in general is a beautiful historic old mining town and a great place to stay and only about 1/2 hour from Queenstown.
Although on AirBnB, this is a holiday parkas it's main business... but we booked through Booking.com.... so it was nice that we were still given a private room to ourselves that included a double bed... and new/clean towels/ sheets, pillow case, with a shared but very clean and well equipped bathroom and kitchen right next door... just a very short walk away... and yes, next time though I would book straight with the campground to cut out the middle person.
With thanks... Bev and Bryan
The owner of the cottage thought of everything! Lots of space heaters, the toys for our 2 year old were a hit, the book she created that gives recommendations on what to do and where to eat (and permission to pick fruit from their trees!) - there were even little chocolate bars left out for us. Really wonderful place. The cottage is on a nice property very close to the heart of town as well.
Amazing location, beautiful cottage and surrounding garden and room was clean and spacious, breakfast was one of the best we have during our holiday and Paul was a great host, happy to suggest options for dinners and really lovely to talk to. An awesome bonus was the smart tv so we could watch Netflix or YouTube while it was rainy. Will definitely be back if we are ever back in Arrowtown
We have stayed at Settlers before and we were very happy to be back again. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage thaty was very comfortable and well equipped, well maintained and very clean.
Settlers is within easy walking distance to the centre of Arrowtown through the conservation area.
The motel was in a quiet part of town and positioned near a small welll stocked supermarket. We had a spacious room which was very well equipped with all the facilities you needed which included an outdoor table and chairs. Management were very friendly and willing to assist if needed.
Arrowtown location is stellar. Warm staff greeting on arrival. Wonderful room. Lovely breakfast as well as welcoming plate in my room. Great coffee is also appreciated. Fire in the fireplace at inclusive breakfast enhances homeyness. Fun to dialog with other guests at breakfast.
Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment in a lovely subdivision minutes out of Arrowtown, mere minutes away from the gorgeoys Millbrook golf course and walking trail. Great amenities in the apartment, comfy beds and pillows, lots of towels and very clean and well stocked.
We loved the garden setting in central Arrowtown.
Our one bedroom and bathroom apartment with separate kitchen and living area was spacious and clean. Easy parking outside. Our hostess Brenda, was helpful and kind. Outstanding!
The hotel is located on the main street in Arrowtown and you are right in the middle. We had everything we needed and the dinner in the restaurant was very delicious. We forgot about the 10% discount for hotel guests though.
Love this hotel. Close to town, Clever architecture, Fab views, Eclectic style, Interesting Artwork. Original cottage is a great place to gather a small party for a drink before, or after, dinner. Lovely local walks.
Very clean quiet and safe location to stay.We had everything in our flat. Bathroom and the rooms are very clean.Great location handy to explore Queenstown and Arrowtown
