Beautiful location, pool, garden, animals, sea views. A good option for Fisherman's Trail trekkers, especially when you prefer staying in nature rather than in towns and villages. A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season.
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season. We visited in February so almost everything was closed. It was lovely because there were no tourists and you could easily find a place in a restaurant (although it wasn't that easy to find an open restaurant). The center still has the feel of an old-type fishing village with tiny cute white and blue houses, but you can see and feel the pressure of the modern beach town which is just behind the old city center. Great beaches and amazing cliffs add to the attractiveness of Porto Covo both in winter and in summer.

Gorgeous spot to visit if you want to stear away from big crowds. Views are breathtaking with a bunch of beaches connected by caves and grottos. There really isn't much else there. A small little village with some eating facilities and a small supermarket. It's a perfect spot for one day and night. The fact that you can park your car wherever you please is also very nice.

Great location for beach goers, with multiple pristine, gorgeous coves in close walking proximity.
Friendly staff; we were upgraded to an ocean front view room and they were able to accommodate our request for a late checkout, last day of our trip so we were able to enjoy the beach before our long flight home.
Breakfast (included) was plentiful and offered many options.
Our trip included stays at 5 hotels, this was the only one that actually had a stocked mini fridge.

Porto Covo is an attractive little town with a small fishing harbour. The Main Street has a lot of very touristy shops. A fair choice of restaurants to eat in but nothing special. It was easy to get to using the very efficient Portuguese bus service and a good place to start walking the Rota Vicentina.

Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant.
Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant. Lovely little local fish and fruit market open in the mornings only. No main supermarket that I could see, only small local ones. But a beautiful beach and cove.

Sweet town, but very touristy feeling.
Sweet town, but very touristy feeling. Tour buses dropping people in, and the restaurants felt geared for tourists too. (though check out the pizza place in the main street, excellent).
Great view from the coastline but not a swimmable beach. Really central to some great day trips, but I think there are better towns in the area for a longer stay.
Check out the horseriding nearby, excellent.
Helena and José make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
The guesthouse has a lot of space to relax and a great outdoor area with a beautiful swimming pool, bbq and places to seat and enjoy the sun. My room had a good size and it was very comfortable
You can get to Praia Grande and the trail to the main beaches of Porto Covo in less than 5 minutes by foot. You can also easily walk to the village with the main restaurants and bars in around 10 minutes.
I definitely recommend staying here to enjoy some relaxing time in paradise.
Manuela was so accommodating and welcoming, super nice to arrive in that way, and she texted me information about nearby beaches and restaurants. Charming converted farmhouse, the photos were accurate. The bed was incredibly comfortable, it was hard to get up in the morning! Well-stocked kitchen, I had everything I needed.
Was really nice to be in the quiet countryside, but so close to the nearest town and the beaches.
The puppy and kitty cat love was an extra bonus.
It had good kitchen facility although didn't have an electric jug but we were able to boil water in a saucepan so all good. Definitely a bit tired and had a camping feel about it, not because it didn't have everything, just rough around the edges. We arrived just after 9pm so reception closed but gatesecurity gave us key. Nothing wrong with it but next time would pay a little more to be closer to porto covo township which is cute.
The house is perfectly situated just off the centre of Porto Covo, and yhe beaches. Communication from the owners was excellent, and getting in could not have been easier. The kitchen has everything you need, including a coffee machine with coffee pods. There is a large beautiful roof terrace with table, chairs and barbeque. The sitting room up stairs has a decent TV, and another coffee machine.
The hotel is on the edge of what used to be an old fishing village and is now a fashionable seaside resort. It's beautifully located near the ocean with a lot of parking spots. The room and the bathroom were spacious and very well equipped. The staff was amazing, and all spoke impeccable English. Breakfast was great with a wide selection of Portuguese and European food.
I really think this one if the best hostels I've ever been. The location is just perfect, super close to the beach and priviledged view to amazing sunsets. The whole concept of active resting is really cool, staff is amazing as well as the food and olace itself is beautiful. Even though I was in a 8 bunk bed room, I felt comfortable and had enough space. Nice music too!
This place is so charming! The room was clean, modern, and pretty and it felt like an amazing value. Check-in was very easy and the staff was very communicative. It's only a few minutes away from the center of town and the beaches. The breakfast was tasty and bountiful. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Porto Covo!
Situated a short walk from the village centre so easy to walk in and find somewhere to have supper. Spacious bedroom and decent shower room. Self service breakfast in a bright room off the main entrance hall. Porto Covo a little touristy but a good base to start walking the Rota Vicentina.
Place was located in the center, near the ocean. Bright room with big window, well-kept comfortable bathroom. Very comfortable bed. In few minutes walk you can be on very beautiful beaches od Porto Covo ;o The closest one is like 5 minutes from the apartment.
Everything, Dina takes care about her place like her own house! Having the beach 200 m away and fire place in the house seems like a perfect gift in winter. Porto Covo is charming fishing village to be visited in all seasons.
Thank you Dina
Fantastic rural hotel in a great country location and walking distance to amazing beach. Farm animals plus some exotic roaming around. Great discovery. Simple and rustic design with good taste. Very friendly staff and good home cooking.
The location is fantastic! By far the mist beautiful hostel we have been to in Portugal. The staff was amazing, so serviceminded and nice - especially the manager That gave us tips for the rest of our travel in Portugal.
Excellent location to stay in Porto Covo. Very easy to walk around the small city, head to the beach and see the amazing view. The hostess that handed me the keys was super nice and friendly!
Relaxing quiet pastoral space. Pool was refreshing on a hot afternoon after we walked the Fisherman’s walk. Quiet night’s sleep in comfortable bed. Shower was hot with good water pressure
Very spacious apartment, good value, good location close to town centre and beaches.
Well equipped kitchen. Friendly owner. Nice dark bedrooms due to shutters
so clean, bright, open, beautiful pool, property across the street from the water/beach/shore paths, staff very friendly and helpful, restaurant fabulousness
