Very kind & friendly host that showed us around upon arrival. The holiday home has lot's of space for outside seating in front and behind the property - always a spot in the shade or sun to relax :) The entire property was very well maintained. In the morning, we were served very tasty berries from the area.

Breakfast was divine served beautifully served in a stunning setting.
The local taxi man was really helpful and friendly, super efficient.
We would highly recommend it, but for walkers, book a taxi from the town!

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August.
Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August. The village is an overnight stay on the Rota Vicentina, Portugal's long-distance coastal footpath, so there are good walking opportunities. On the two nights we were there we ate at Restaurante Rita. The food is good, but its main attraction is the great view of the stunning sunsets. Pretty well everything in the village is within walking distance so find a place to park your car and leave it there! Non-Portuguese should be aware that this is the Atlantic coast. The sea is cold!

In mid June (2019) the town was still very quiet, though most of the restaurants were open for business. When I went to the beach at 10 am i was literally the only person on the beach, despite it being a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. Most of the other visitors to the town seemed to be hikers walking the "Fishermen's Trail".
I only had time for one meal, but I am very happy with my choice. The restaurant called Sol Dourado, Rua da Palmeira, Lote 43. Try the Sopa de Cação (€13.50) - a large serving, probably enough for two people.

I was greeted by a staff member who quickly located the manager to complete my check-in. Manager was friendly & very helpful. Property located just a few blocks off the main business corridor in semi-residential area. While the exterior might not impress the interior is a beautifully maintained old-style hotel. My 2nd floor room had a balcony overlooking the street w/ table, umbrella & chairs. Excellent continental breakfast w/ great coffee!
Amazing view of the ocean, excellent location. Host was very quick to respond to all messages, they even came and brought a new heater and toaster oven when we informed that the apartment was still very cold. We really appreciated their quick responses and actions taken. We had a very relaxing stay as a family and our baby daughter could play on the beach right in front of the apartment which was really great.
An exceptional countryside hotel in a beautiful location, close to the sea. Our room was in a typical Alentejo cottage situated a short distance from the main building. It included a convenient kitchenette. Well decorated and very clean. The service was very good indeed. Very tasty, generous-sized and reasonably priced meals of fine local Alentejo food were served in the restaurant. Breakfasts were good.
Maria’s cuisine is the most delicious among all the Portugal, especially pastry and croissants. I couldn’t wait to go to breakfast and not to eat all of they cook
Hospitality and calmness of this place are exceptional, also they have the most adorable host named Lupinha
The essential spot is the field of sunflowers in the summer and clear sky to observe the stars
The place is well located with different room options for different needs. There's a bar and a restaurant near the pool where you can sit and relax. The restaurant had some very nice clams and the food was good with a very helpful staff overall. The pool is really big a great addition. Very good wifi coverage.
The team at this hotel were amazing! Extremely friendly, hospitable and really lovely people. It made the stay even more the better than it already was. Shame our travel plans limited us to only a night's stay. The environment is so open and we stayed in the stables converted into rooms so that was beautiful!
The room was spacious. There was a sofa for us to relax after a whole day hiking.
The reception provides water and packed lunch for us to buy.
The location of this hotel was good. It was closed to the town center where you could find restaurants and mini supermarkets.
EVERYTHING! The decor, the pool, the breakfast, the view, the host. This was our 15th place to stay in the past 22 nights in our whirlwind tour of Spain and Portugal. It was the BEST place by a long shot!
The hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely. The lady organising breakfast was extremely helpful and friendly. The man who checked us in was also very informative and helpful.
This place is quiet and totally beautiful. Staff were lovely and the swallows circling over the river in the morning were not to be missed. Also very close to beautiful beaches.
