The host was verry friendly and the apartments are really nice. We had a barbeque outside and all the facilities in the kitchen.

What a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful chalet style accommodation, huge rooms with 2 bathrooms and amazing views. The people are lovely and kind and the breakfast is just incredible, with amazing home baked treats. A short walk into Merano and beautiful nature trails starting just behind the accommodation. You will be well rested, well fed and a bit happier if you stay here!

We felt welcomed and appreciated. The view from the bed in the morning is stunning. The spa is really nice as well. We love the location. Absolutely great for nature lovers! A big plus for us was how easy everything was with our dog.

Located in Cividale del Friuli, in a historic building, 28 km from Palmanova Outlet Village, Il Rifugio del Monaco is a farm stay with free bikes and garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 21 km from Stadio Friuli, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The accommodation provides a housekeeping service and a shared lounge for guests. The rifugio, which is an ex monastery, is very well and thoughtfully renovated, and located a bit out of the town. We enjoyed staying in a really unique room which inspired us to think about the history of this place, their inhabitants, nuns and monks. The owner is very nice and helpful, she took time to show us the old church and explained the history of the property. Close to the monestary there is a wonderful, even mystical garden full of lavandas, rosemarin, roses and other Mediterranean plants. Also the breakfast was delicious and served in an antique dinning room. Everything was super clean. We spent wonderful time in the rifugio and if comming back to Cividale, we will definitely choose again to stay here. If you like historical places and like to try something unusual, this place is worth trying.
