Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Great location right above the city center, all the restaurants are within walking distance and even one of the wineries (the Maude winery) was right behind the corner, so we paid it a visit. The lady at the reception was very friendly and overall super helpful. The room was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the A/C was a great addition (apparently you can’t find it in every hotel in NZ). We only stayed for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer vacation. It it also very calm and I can imaging that it’s quite kids friendly.

Even quality wine glasses. Good size and quiet. Peter was great and very responsive. The best stay we have had in our 3 month vacation. Strongly recommend it and would absolutely stay here again.
