New in 2019, this 5-star boutique hotel is ideally located on Victoria Street in the city of Christchurch, amongst a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars. Rooms were extremely well appointed and perfect sized for two people. Perfect walking distance to everything in City Center, all restaurants and entertainment. Also extremely easy to get to from the Airport there and back on bus 29. Amenities such as espresso pods and tea, milk and sugar in the room made the morning and evening easy. We also enjoyed the free laundry in the 4th floor and we were able to do a quick load. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and knew how to help us get around and get quickly into our rooms when we arrived early.

The hotel is instagrammable overall with every nook and cranny beautifully decorated with touches of a past era. The room smells good, the bed and mattress are comfortable (my daughter didn't want to get up!), the towels are thick & clean, the garden is beautiful and filled with flowers, and even the room window has flowers planted outside so it was a pretty sight even from inside the room. The dinner at the garden surrounded with these colorful blooms was a delight. The bar & restaurant staff are polite, friendly and attentive. I like that there is a self-service laundry room available for guests to use for a minimum fee. Parking is also available.

So much so we thought we were the first guests to stay in it. Really comfortable, great view of the lake and the night sky (fantastic to see this in this area). Awesome town, one of my top in the South Island. If you like nature and outdoor activities, this is your place! Water activities in the lake, roads to cycle, trails to bike, mountains to hike, Queenstown 1h-awesome-drive away... endless! Lots of campers, great vibe in town, is not big but has just enough facilities to be comfortable.
