We originally booked for one night, but then added another night so we could rest up after all the driving we had done. the little beach area was nice too, just for sitting. The pool area of this Intercontinental resort features a heated outdoor pool and a heated kids pool as well as artistic fountains surrounded with palm trees. There are also a host of water sports available, including snorkeling and scuba diving among the amazing Red Sea coral.

The friendliness of the staff. We were lucky to get an early check-in then we were informed that not only breakfast but all soft drinks and snacks would be free at different locations during the day because we had taken a club room with the panoramic view. Pay that little extra and be treated like royalty. There were also free alcoholic cocktails along with diner snacks which were not snacks but a full meal. There is a Nespresso machine in the room which has a huge bathroom. The reception area is very inviting with high ceilings and confortable sofas. The beach loungers and tents are very comfortable in it's a nice touch that they give you water bottles at the same time as your huge beach towels. Being an older hotel the vegetation around the pools is luxuriant with tall palm trees. One of the pools was heated and the outside jacuzzi was warm too, highly appreciated in March.
