The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the sheets smelled nice. They gave me a balcony room which was really lovely. The room itself was pretty spacious. The staff were friendly and responded well to my requests. Reasonable price. Breakfast was also good. I genuinely enjoyed my stay here and will defo stay here again if I ever get to come back to Kathmandu.

Clean, friendly, convenient & every detail has been carefully considered. In the heart of the Thamel, Ananta is on a quiet street. The rooms have balconies overlooking a beautiful courtyard. It is super clean. Fast, free wifi. Huge king bed with lots of pillows & duvet. Reading lights on both sides. Western style washroom with flush toilet, hot shower & toothbrushes & paste, shampoo, soap & TP, etc provided. Huge fluffy towels. There is a fridge in the room. Good storage in the room (& elevator for bringing up luggage). Full length mirror. Bottled water, tea kettle as well as tea & coffee provided. The owner is unbelievably welcoming. The owner & staff speak English (&’probably other languages). Breakfast (a substantial breakfast - eggs, toast, juice, etc) is in a pleasant dining room. There is also a roof garden for relaxing. Streetside there is a small patio where you can have a tea or coffee & watch the Thamel activity. The owner used to be a guide so is an excellent resource to treks, lodging, bus schedules as well as Kathmandu practicalities such as the best place to exchange money, etc. Best of all is just how friendly & helpful EVERYONE is!

Great staff, they treated you like you were their family. The manager was a really kind and caring person. Great location in the heart of Thamel near some wonderful restaurant. A ten minutes walk from tourist bus stop. Really clean rooms. They even insisted, yes really insisted !! to upgrade my room. When I needed taxi the staff and even the manager spend time and used his/her cellphone and with transportation applications managed a taxi with the best prices. They even changed dollar to rupee with best price. I am definitely coming back to this hotel.

Conveniently situated in the centre of Kathmandu, Magnificent Hotel provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. I do not often write a long critic, but I will do it in this case, as the hotel actually exceeded all my expectatives. I look for hotels that are Cozy, Comfortable and Clean (My 3C's): this hotel has them all. 1) Excellent free pickup at the airport. Much needed after a long flight. 2) Very clean big room, including windows (rare) and walls (much more rare). The beds are excellent: firm mattress very comfortable dressed with soft cotton very white sheets. I actually slept 14 hours arrow the first night. One of the cleanest hotel bathrooms I've ever had. 3) Good LOCAL breakfast (try the local dishes), although you have cereal, yoghurt, bread, omelets, pancakes and other items to fit western tastes. Sole blackspot: no brewed coffee (instant one instead). But you can go to a very modern mall located just about 100 m. away: for that go to the beginning of the alley, turn left and then immediately right (in a hidden alley), and you will find it. Several coffee shops. I recommend Arabica Coffee Shop and Java Coffee Shop. Both excellent. Open at 9 am. 4) Location is excellent: at the end of a dead-end street. That keeps you away of all the chaos of Kathmandu. As a matter of fact, my room looked partially to the park of Garden of the Dreams. You are only about 5 min away from downtown entrance. 5) No elevator, but someone will be ready to help you with your luggage. 6) Very friendly place. As a matter of fact, everything runs so smoothly because of the constant work of Mr. Gongo, the General Manager. Very servicial and ready to solve any problem. Congratulations. It is because of your work that your hotel exceeded my expectative. I will certainly will be back when in Nepal.
